Katherine Allison

Katherine joined Cascadia after devoting much of her education and career to supporting and leading impactful community resilience and environmental justice efforts across the U.S. Most recently, she was the Senior Research Manager at the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Sustainability Initiative (JEDSI) at the Yale School of the Environment, where she supported JEDSI’s diversity and environmental justice initiatives and food access research. Previously, Katherine managed food distribution programs at a regional food bank in Washington D.C., worked at Food Lifeline in Seattle, and earned an M.Ed. in Community Development and Action from Vanderbilt University. When she’s not working, Katherine enjoys cooking, baking, knitting, hiking, camping, reading, and snuggling with her two resident cats (and usually a few foster cats and dogs).
