Khori Bjork

Khori joined Cascadia full-time in 2021 to conduct in-field waste characterization research, following nearly a year of supporting this work in a temporary capacity. As an experienced field team leader, he plays a key role in both local and nationwide waste characterization efforts. His responsibilities include fieldwork preparation, hands-on data collection, and assisting with quantitative analysis to enhance research accuracy and effectiveness. Passionate about waste reduction and proper disposal, Khori has actively participated in and led studies both on campus and independently. Before joining Cascadia, he worked for PC Recycle, where he collected and dismantled electronics while collaborating with local businesses to ensure proper recycling of all components. Prior to transitioning into his full-time role, he traveled across the United States in his van, exploring national parks and the scenic Oregon coast. Khori holds a B.S. in Geography from Western Washington University. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, working on cars, spending time with his two dogs, and connecting with friends.
