May Xie

May is passionate about bringing people together through intentional, sustainable event planning and community engagement. She combines outreach, logistics, and transcreation to create inclusive spaces where ideas can thrive. When she’s not planning conferences or coordinating workshops, she’s working with community translators to make all content accessible for the people they serve. May works in Seattle Public Utilities’ Reuse Seattle and Green Business programs by providing video editing and technical assistance to priority communities. She also supports Green Seattle Partnership in achieving the goal of restoring and enhancing Seattle’s forested parklands through the Forest Steward program. Fueled by too much coffee and too little sleep, May graduated from the University of Washington in 2020 with a degree in Environmental Studies and Entrepreneurship. Now, she applies her organizational skills and technical knowledge to her work at Cascadia. In her free time, May is either picking up a new hobby or spoiling her dog.
