P.J. Tillmann

P.J.’s love of science, people, and planet drives everything they do. Give P.J. a leading-edge policy or technology to research, a project to apply it to, and a team to collaborate with, and they will be enthusiastic, to say the least. As a core member of Cascadia’s Planning & Facilitation team, P.J. supports local governments, corporations, and international organizations with sustainability strategies and action plans that drive progress to net zero and beyond. With a knack for visioning and collaborative strategic planning, a keen eye for detail and synergy, and policy expertise ranging from energy decarbonization to implementation effectiveness, P.J. has the ability to meet clients and communities where they are and co-design a technically sound, contextually relevant, and immediately actionable pathway to reach emissions reduction and resilience goals. P.J. is also an experienced project manager with diverse past experiences in natural resource management strategic planning, climate adaptation, and multi-channel inclusive public engagement. They hold a M.P.P.A. from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, a B.S. in Chemistry from Western Washington University, and has have authored several technical publications. When not working, P.J. finds joy playing rugby, love spending time with family, and peace in a cool breeze amid the trees.
