Shannon Saam

Shannon Donegan Saam leads Cascadia’s corporate recycling and materials management services, working to build sustainable policies, programs, and operations in the private sector. She is equally comfortable diving into dumpsters to discover their contents, analyzing spreadsheets to create compelling data visualizations, and presenting effective sustainability strategies and zero waste plans to corporate management teams. Since joining Cascadia in 2008, her clients have included multinational corporations in the apparel, retail, manufacturing, and information technology sectors with facilities ranging from offices and corporate campuses to distribution centers and retail stores. The sustainable materials management plans that she has developed with her clients are currently in use across the United States and around the world. Shannon graduated from Middlebury College summa cum laude with a B.A. in Economics. When she’s not analyzing waste streams, you can find Shannon exploring the Pacific Northwest by foot, e-bike, sailboat, surfboard, or skis with her two young children.
