Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Analyses

Our tailored GHG analysis models and interactive dashboards empower communities to accurately measure, monitor, and manage greenhouse gas emissions across all sectors and sources, driving informed decision-making and impactful climate action.

Greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories and related analyses provide a foundation for developing impactful climate strategies and serve as an essential tools for tracking and evaluating progress over time. Cascadia brings extensive expertise in applying industry best practices and standard protocols to create accurate, localized GHG inventories. We estimate emissions across diverse sectors, including transportation, buildings, solid waste, consumption, water, and natural systems, including assessing carbon sequestration potential of natural and working lands.

Our team leverages custom, user-friendly tools and models to analyze and visualize current and future GHG emissions for communities and organizations. This includes creating business-as-usual forecasts, conducting scenario analyses, developing strategy-based GHG reduction models, and crafting interactive online dashboards. These insights inform the creation of practical, defensible strategies and guide a clear and achievable path toward climate goals and targets.

Examples of our support include:

  • Consumption-based inventories that highlight the full impact of consumption patterns
  • Community and government operations inventories that identify and quantify local sources of climate pollutants for targeted action
  • Forecasts and wedge analyses that model the potential emissions reductions achieved through proposed mitigation strategies, providing a clear roadmap for success
  • Interactive dashboards that empower planners to plan, monitor, and report emissions reduction across sectors in real time
  • Community-focused report cards that effectively communicate climate actions and progress to foster transparency and community engagement
