Community + Environmental Justice Services
Environmental justice is at the heart of Cascadia’s work. We support a wide range of clients—from state agencies and tribes to local municipalities and nonprofit organizations—with centering community, conducting culturally competent and multi-language outreach, assessing environmental justice impacts, and integrating environmental justice considerations into climate action and sustainability plans. Our goal is to ensure that the projects and programs we support are codesigned with community members and reflect community needs and priorities.

Climate Pollution Reduction Grant Program
We’re supporting Pacific Northwest tribal communities with shaping inclusive long-range greenhouse gas reduction strategies.

We completed an EJ analysis on climate guidance, resources, and tools developed by the ACRP.
Free Youth Transit Pass Campaign
We coordinated outreach and events to promote access to free ORCA transit cards, boosting ridership among youth.
Accelerating Preparedness with Community Resilience Hubs
Sustainability Plan for Lafayette (CO)
We helped Lafayette create a holistic, data-driven approach to community climate action.
King County Communities of Opportunity
We support COO in its mission with administrative, logistical, evaluation, and communications expertise.
Washington Statewide Climate Resilience Plan
We’re working with Washington State to develop a statewide, community-centered Climate Response Strategy.
Issaquah Climate Action Implementation
Cascadia led the development of Issaquah’s Climate Action Plan. We are now supporting a variety of implementation services.
Seattle Trees for Neighborhoods Program
We helped Seattle create and implement an inclusive resident awareness campaign to grow canopy in local neighborhoods.
