We help jurisdictions and communities maximize the benefits of natural spaces, align them with climate and resilience goals, and facilitate inclusive planning for ecosystems, watersheds, and green infrastructure to achieve equitable and effective solutions.
We partner with jurisdictions and communities to maximize the benefits of parks, recreation, open spaces, and natural areas while protecting ecosystems. Cascadia aligns priorities for green spaces, watersheds, and pollinator pathways with climate action and resilience goals, helping connect land management to community health, equity, and resilience. We also facilitate inclusive processes for watershed and stormwater planning, balancing ecological and human needs while engaging frontline and BIPOC communities.
We have supported local, regional and watershed-level stakeholder groups for state and regional agencies, tribes, and local jurisdictions to provide neutral, third-party facilitation, inclusive engagement, evaluation, analysis, strategic planning, and process coordination across a range of natural resource planning efforts.
Examples of our support include:
- Developing Parks, Recreation, and Open Space (PROS) plans to align green space and resilience goals
- Facilitating multi-partner planning processes for watershed management and restoration
- Creating pollinator protection plans and supporting urban farming and food systems initiatives
- Engaging and coordinating volunteers while fostering inclusive public participation, especially among frontline and BIPOC communities
