Alicia Fennell

Alicia joined Cascadia in 2021 to lead and support climate and sustainability projects through strategic planning, technical analysis, engagement, writing, and research. She works with jurisdictions to support all aspects of the climate action planning process, from facilitating community workshops to conducting greenhouse gas analyses to developing mitigation and adaptation strategies. Before joining Cascadia, Alicia spent five years in the environmental education field, leading and facilitating programs for kids and young adults in the outdoors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from UC Santa Cruz and a master’s degree in environmental science and management from the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara, where she focused on climate change and strategic communication. Outside of work, you can find Alicia hiking with friends, baking and eating lots of cookies, reading, and seeking out the sun—preferably at the beach.
