Barbara Mendez

Barbara is a Project Coordinator on Cascadia’s Creative Team, supporting a wide range of projects across Cascadia’s lines of businesses through creating compelling graphics and written narratives that inform and engage audiences. Driven by a passion for placemaking, transportation, and environmental preservation, Barbara specializes in developing materials that aim to make communities feel a sense of connection and empowerment in shaping a sustainable world. Barbara holds a degree in Community, Environment, and Planning (CEP) from the University of Washington. Prior to joining Cascadia, she spent 3 years strengthening her writing and graphic design skills through creative content development roles at local agencies and organizations in Seattle. Outside of work, Barbara brings connection and creativity in her life through hiking, pottery, and spending time with loved ones.
